Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Creative Minds Zone ("the Zone", "we") collects, why, and what rights you have. We never sell your data and we don't show ads.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign in with a one-time code.
- Profile: name, photo, what you do, country and city, how you work, skills, your answers to the profile questions, and the projects and photos you add. Your profile is visible to other signed-in members.
- Activity in the app: your yes/no choices in Meet, matches, messages, Offices you open or join, invitations and join requests, planned meetings and "We met" confirmations.
- Kudos and love notes you share. These are visible to all signed-in members.
- Safety: people you block and reports you send.
- Feedback you choose to send us.
- Device: a push notification token, if you allow notifications.
- Date of birth: used to check that you are 18 or older and to show your age on your profile. Other members see only your age, never your date of birth.
- Confirmation that you accepted these terms, with the date.
Why we use it
- To run the service you asked for: your profile, matching, chats, Offices and meetings (legal basis: contract).
- To keep the Zone safe: handling reports, blocking, preventing fake accounts and misuse (legitimate interest).
- To send notifications you allowed, such as new matches and messages (consent — you can turn them off in your phone's settings).
- To improve the app from your feedback (legitimate interest).
- To email you news about new versions of the Zone, only if you said yes (consent). You can say no at any time in the app (Me → Settings) or with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Who processes the data for us
- Supabase — database, sign-in and photo storage, hosted in the European Union.
- Expo, Apple and Google — delivering push notifications to your phone.
- Netlify — hosting this website.
- MailerLite — sending the news emails, only to people who said yes.
- Resend — sending the sign-in codes.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU/EEA, it is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account in the app (Me → Delete my account) or by email (see Support), your profile, photos, messages, matches and the Offices you founded are deleted. Reports about safety may be kept for up to 12 months to protect other members.
Your rights
You can see and edit your profile in the app at any time and delete your account yourself. You also have the right to request a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and to object to processing. Email us and we'll answer within one month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
Age
The Zone is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
